BICYCLE

In 2005, Chellarams opened a world-class bicycle assembly factory. Through a technical collaboration with Hero Cycles, the world’s largest bicycle manufacturer, Chellarams produces a range of bicycles for children, adults and people with special needs.  We have a 45% local content policy; locally providing the forks, frames and mudguards for the bicycles along with painting and labour. The bicycle factory employs about 200 people and has the capacity to produce 600,000 bicycles per annum.
